Welcome — I’m Glad You’re Here

Welcome — I’m Glad You’re Here

If you’ve found your way here, there’s a good chance you love stories that linger.

Stories that aren’t flashy for the sake of it, but honest.

Stories that wrestle with darkness, loyalty, faith, grief, hope, and the quiet strength it takes to keep going.

My name is Charles, and I’m an author who believes stories still matter — deeply.

I write because stories shaped me. They helped me survive seasons of loss, uncertainty, and rebuilding. And now, I write stories for readers who want more than entertainment. I write for readers who want connection.

Why I Sell Direct (And Why This Blog Exists)

I made a conscious decision to sell my books directly to readers instead of relying entirely on big platforms.

Not because those platforms are bad — but because they create distance.

Selling direct allows me to:

  • know who my readers are
  • speak to you without an algorithm in the middle
  • price fairly
  • bundle books generously
  • and build something sustainable as an author

This blog isn’t just a marketing tool.

It’s a place to slow down, share insights, talk honestly about stories, faith, writing, and life — and to invite you into the process, not just the product.

My long-term goal is simple but meaningful:

to become a full-time author supported by readers who value story, integrity, and relationship over hype.

If you’re here, you’re part of that vision.

The Stories I Tell:

The Ghosts of Minera Springs

This is a Southern Gothic suspense series rooted in small-town Texas — the kind of place where everyone knows your name, your past, and sometimes your secrets.

These books explore:

  • family loyalty
  • buried truths
  • generational trauma
  • justice and redemption
  • and the cost of silence

They’re atmospheric, character-driven, and grounded in relationships that feel real — flawed, protective, messy, and human.

Children of the Forgotten

This series moves into dystopian territory, asking a different kind of question:

What happens when faith survives after everything else collapses?

It’s about young people forced to choose courage over comfort, belief over fear, and truth over survival at any cost. It’s raw at times, hopeful at others, and ultimately about what we carry with us when the world strips everything away.

Both series are different in setting — but they share the same heart.

The Relationship I Want With You

I don’t want to be a faceless name on a product page.

I want:

  • readers who feel welcome here
  • honest conversations about stories and themes
  • room to grow, experiment, and improve
  • patience when I’m human
  • and loyalty that flows both ways

In return, I promise:

  • to write stories with intention
  • to respect your time and trust
  • to never treat you like a metric
  • and to keep building something worth being part of

If you stay, you’re not just buying books.

You’re helping an author build a life around storytelling — one reader at a time.
